Zip is a 17 year-old Quarter Horse gelding and enjoys being ridden by his owner Kelly and her daughter. He is also a lesson horse and loves spending days out in the pasture with his best bud Boey. He also does a special trick, but you’ll have to ask Sally to have him show you!

Stally is a 19 year-old Thoroughbred gelding that has honored HillCroft with his presence after retiring from his prestigious racing career. Stallwart stands as one of the highest winning New York bred Racing Thoroughbreds and now spends his days relaxing in the field and being ridden by his owner.

When you meet Maggie you will soon realize she is a kind and spirited 24 year-old who specializes in Parreli© training techniques with her owner.

Charlotte is a 4 year old Quarter Horse mare who thinks everything is a toy that has to go in her mouth. Her background is in western reining training but now she is very happy to be a calm and trustworthy Centered Riding partner for her owner.

Foster is a 4 year old Quarter Horse gelding who was rescued from a feedlot. He came to HillCroft untrained and  in terrible shape – very underweight, all cut up and with an infected abscess on his face. After several months of medical care,  proper nutrition and rest he was started in a training program. His owner is currently training him under saddle as well as in hand, under the guidance of  Sally and Karol.

Is a 11 year-old Appendix gelding who is a horse of many colors as you can tell from the photo. He and his owner are practicing for his Level 1 dressage tests.

DJ is a 7 year-old Appendix gelding that enjoys playing in the fields with his equine friend Weston and exploring the benefits of Centered Riding© in his Hunter/Jumper training.

Flirt is a 19 year-old pleasantly pump pony who as you probably guessed, loves food! She specializes in teaching her young students how to steer and after having a successful Hunter career, believes she should collect all her payment in handfuls of yummy treats.

Jet is a 18 year-old Quarter horse gelding. He enjoys staying in shape by giving lessons and likes to spend his leisure time out in the field with his friends. Jet loves to make grumpy faces, but really, he’s a total sweetheart.

Kelly is a 27 year-old Quarter horse gelding who is enjoying spending his retirement at HillCroft Stables. He spends his days visiting his equine friends in the field and sunbathing.

Lulu is a 23 year-old Thoroughbred who really loves her stall and curls up every day for a nice nap. She tries every day to get as dirty as possible so her owner will give her a bubble bath. As an extra bonus, her owner brings her big bags of carrots every day.

Lina is a 7 year-old Warmblood/Thoroughbred cross who lives at HillCroft while her owner is in town attending Union College. She is a very calm and sweet horse who loves being hand grazed and spends her vacations and summers in Connecticut with her “other” family.
